Our overnight support adapts to your specific needs – whether that’s help with medication, assistance using the bathroom, managing catheters or stomas, or simply having someone there for peace of mind. Each of our local Care Professionals is thoroughly trained in medication support, moving and handling, and supporting people living with dementia. Unlike self-employed carers, our team receives ongoing training and professional development, with 24/7 backup from our office team. We keep families updated through our care app, bringing reassurance that their loved one is well looked after throughout the night.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

Families tell us what a difference reliable overnight support makes. As one client’s granddaughter shared on homecare.co.uk: “Our independent 97-year-old grandmother became unwell. Home Instead went above and beyond to ensure that not only our grandmother’s needs were met, but that our family were ok too. The online app enabled us to read the daily entries in Nan’s notes which was extremely beneficial on the days that we were unable to visit.”

Our team’s expertise is built on director Henry’s vast NHS and care experience and our comprehensive City & Guilds training programme – matched with a team of caring and compassionate professionals. From our Chatham High Street office, Registered Manager Karina ensures we can support a wide range of complex needs, from post-hospital recovery to long-term conditions. As one family noted: “I contacted Home Instead on a Sunday of the Bank Holiday weekend. The phone was answered immediately…Care began less than 24 hours after my initial contact.” This level of responsive, professional support sets us apart.
Being well-connected within the Medway healthcare community helps us provide joined-up overnight support. We work closely with district nurses, GPs, and hospital discharge teams to coordinate care effectively. Through our regular ‘Key to Care’ events, we share expertise about supporting different health conditions, while our partnerships with local healthcare providers ensure smooth communication when managing complex care needs. This comprehensive approach means we can adapt quickly as your overnight care needs change, maintaining safety and comfort throughout the night.
