We are delighted to have been declared a ‘5 star’ employer, showing that care is a worthwhile career path to take. Home Instead Mid Cornwall’s employees have commended the company due to factors such as top-quality training opportunities and supportive leadership.
All employees of the home care company were invited to take part in an anonymous survey by independent employee engagement experts WorkBuzz. Home Instead Mid Cornwall is delighted to have received an impressive employee engagement score of 100, a rating that few companies achieve.
100% of care professionals said they feel motivated to go the extra mile, while 100% said they are proud to work for Home Instead.
People who receive our company’s care were also surveyed, leading to exceptionally high satisfaction scores. This includes 100% of clients saying Home Instead takes an interest in them as a person, and 100% of clients saying they feel that Home Instead has an excellent understanding of their care needs.
We are looking for more people to come onboard and join the team who have praised the company for being a supportive employer. We have care professional vacancies on offer for people who want to begin or further a career in care in Wadebridge, Bodmin, St Austell, Lostwithiel and Fowey.
Patrick Hughes says, “Home Instead Mid Cornwall is very proud to have been named a 5 star employer by WorkBuzz. This achievement is not only recognition of the exceptional care given to members of the local community, but also our commitment to providing a motivational and supportive working environment. A big thank you to the whole team for your continued efforts!”
We are looking to improve further this year with a fresh training programme for new employees, a revamped Dementia course and a new course our Training Manager Rhiannon is putting together about Parkinsons. Pay has improved again and we offer guaranteed contracts to Care Professionals whose availability matches the needs of the clients. Our local vision is to improve and professionalise the experience of working in care in Cornwall and we will continue to do this in every way we can.
Steven Frost, CEO at WorkBuzz, says: “I’m delighted to see Home Instead Mid Cornwall receive the WorkBuzz 5 Star Employer Award for 2023 – congratulations! The 5 Star programme is based on confidential employee feedback to identify organisations where employees are proud to work there, feel motivated to do their best work, and would recommend it as a great place to work – all signs of a great culture. The award demonstrates Home Instead’s commitment to creating an environment which improves their employees working lives and enables them to thrive.”
