Home Instead, which has branches covering Newport, Chepstow and Cwmbran, and in Monmouth has launched its ‘Be a Santa’ campaign, which it hopes will bring festive cheer and companionship to elderly hospital patients this Christmas.
The campaign will deliver gifts to patients in hospital and will also include an appearance by Mark Knight, an Elvis tribute artist.
By delivering Christmas care packages, Home Instead Newport, Chepstow, and Cwmbran and Monmouthshire hopes to show the patients, many of whom face the holiday season with limited family support or companionship, that they are remembered, valued, and cherished.
We will be sprinkling our magic dust over Monmouthshire and Gwent the week before Christmas visiting homes and hospital patients on the following dates:-
This year we have secured fantastic donations from Waitrose, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Whiteheads Building Services, Newport City Homes, DX Deliveries, Rombourne Services, The Cakery, and Iceland.
This will be our best campaign ever with Mark Knight as Elvis, Nicola Jane Masters – Community Engagement Coordinator along with our special guests our Community Champions across the region.
