Make diagnosis a priority this Dementia Action Week
Along with the Alzheimer’s Society we’re out and about helping to raise awareness of the professional organisations in and around Newcastle under Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent who are focused on helping people to live successfully and independently with dementia.
On Monday 13th May we will be based in Newcastle under Lyme town centre, on Tuesday 14th we’re inside the entrance of the UHNM and finally, on Friday 17th we will be located in the Potteries Shopping Centre, Hanley, on the first floor adjacent to the lifts. Please come and chat to us about any concerns you may have.
Home Instead supports many clients with dementia at home and our dementia training programme is City & Guilds assured and has even won a Princess Royal Training Award. Our Care Professionals are equipped with the knowledge and skills to respond to dementia symptoms to help older people to live at home safely and happily.
Owner of Home Instead Newcastle and Stoke, Paul Edden, is the current chair of the Dementia Network Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. Paul says “it’s great to engage with members of the public to help make them aware of the fabulous support organisations that exist but often remain hidden within our local area”.
