Located in the Cumbernauld Centre, not too far from our office, it is great for breakfast, has a good choice of cakes and their sandwich platters will ensure that no one in Cumbernauld ever goes hungry.
The staff are friendly and if you do need any assistance, they will do what they can to make everyone feel comfortable. The café opens from 8am – 3pm and is open 7 days a week.

A very well recommended place to take your elderly friends or family members out to in the Coatbridge area, is the Mad Batter Bakery & Coffee shop. A great place, especially for elderly people as the staff are very helpful and caring and really do go out of their way to make your visit a great experience.
They have an excellent range of vegetarian sandwiches and wraps too and their scones and cakes are really tasty as well. Washed down with their fantastic coffee, this is truly one of Coatbridge’s finest coffee and bakeries. Toilets are easily accessible for wheelchair users and there are no steps inside, which really makes it easy for older people.
The bakery is open from 9am every day and closes at 3.30pm on weekdays and 4.30pm on the weekends. It can be found here, just off Coatbank Street.
This hotel in the heart of Airdrie offers afternoon tea and homemade cakes in a relaxed atmosphere. The Hotel, has a tea room, which is well-suited for older patrons and has a vintage decor. The afternoon Tea was amazing and they had some really nice cakes to go with the tea. Service is also really good.
The Hotel is situated not too far from the Town Hall, just off Alexander Street.
