There are lots of places in the Conwy area where you can have a waterside wander and feed the ducks whilst you are there. Just remember that bread isn’t always the best thing for ducks. Some places will sell bird or duck food, but if you prefer to take your own supplies then they are quite partial to oats, seeds and even frozen peas or sweetcorn (defrosted first!)

More of a place for observing ducks and wildfowl feeding in their natural environment – as the birds are protected you won’t be able to feed them yourselves but there are plenty of opportunities for walking. There are lots of bird feeders dotted around the site, where you’ll be able to see some of the smaller birds perching. There is also a waterside coffee shop where you can enjoy a coffee or a light lunch whilst observing the elegant waders in the estuary.
This is a popular site in Conwy offering fishing opportunities and a nature trail in beautiful surroundings! You can buy duck food from the aquatic centre so you can feed any that you see as you walk around the easy nature trail. You may be lucky enough to spot some otters too! Afterwards, you can treat yourself to a delicious meal at the Dutch Pancake House on site.
This family friendly park in the heart of Abergele offers lots to do for all ages. There is a pond in the park where you can feed the ducks and the swans. If you are with your grandchildren there are plenty of opportunities for play with a fun playground and skate park. As you are walking round try and discover the secret walled garden and the stone circle!
This stunning promenade which has a breathtaking view of the mountains is a popular place to walk but is also a great place to feed the ducks. There is a long stretch of water where the ducks can swim, and you often see them following alongside people as they walk along the prom!
This lake which used to be a thriving tourist hotspot where sun worshippers would head to hire pedaloes is now a little more peaceful and home to lots of ducks and swans. You can buy bags of duck food from the kiosk and feed them from the shore.
