There are many reasons older people may require overnight care, such as an illness that could lead to complications, recovery from surgery, advanced dementia that causes confusion and disorientation, or specific mobility needs. There are two types of overnight care available:
Sleep-In Service – A carer will sleep in the home overnight while you sleep, which can be helpful if you do not require any particular care, but would like to feel more secure knowing there is someone around if you need them.
Waking Night Service – A carer will stay in the home overnight, but remain awake, which can be helpful if you wake up a lot during the night, need help administering medication, need support with bathroom trips, or must monitor a health condition.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

The New Ageing Index report found independence to be a priority for older adults due to concerns about being placed in a care home, but overnight care needs do not mean a care home is inevitable; with at-home overnight care, you can feel safe and confident to remain in your own home for as long as you would like to, which is recommended to maintain your health, mental health, and help you stay an active member of your community.
Our dedicated Care Professionals from the Northwich and Knutsford area can provide the care you need, whether that means a short period to recover from illness, or an ongoing overnight care arrangement that means you always wake up to a familiar face, and have the help you need at any time of night.
