Needing a bit of support shouldn’t mean giving up the life you love. In Norwich, where community matters and independence is valued, staying in your own home can make all the difference. Whether it’s enjoying a stroll through Chapelfield Gardens, catching up with neighbours, or simply having your routine just the way you like it. Being at home means being yourself.

At Home Instead Norwich, we provide award-winning care that helps you stay exactly where you want to be: in familiar surroundings, with the freedom to live life your way. Our support fits around you – not the other way around.

Personalised Care That Fits Into Your Life

From Eaton to Thorpe St Andrew, our Care Professionals work across the Norwich area, providing tailored care that supports both practical needs and emotional wellbeing. No two people are the same, and neither is our care.

For some, it’s help getting dressed in the morning or managing medication. For others, it’s companionship on a walk through Eaton Park or support preparing lunch.

Many of our clients enjoy building a connection with a Care Professional who shares their interests such as baking, football, or simply having a good natter over a crossword.

Real Relationships, Not Just Routines

We don’t believe in rushed care visits or ticking off task lists. We focus on creating real, trusting relationships that bring comfort and confidence.

We take time to match clients with Care Professionals who suit their personality, lifestyle, and interests. Whether it’s a shared love of books, a background in farming, or a similar sense of humour, these small details matter. They build the foundation for meaningful companionship.

It’s this human connection that makes our care feel less like a service and more like a friendship.

Locals Connections, Lasting Impact

We believe care should connect people, not isolate them. In Norwich, we’re proud to support relationships that go beyond basic care, creating a sense of community, humour, and shared joy.

We run four successful Companionship Cafes in Norwich, which bring our clients and the community together to chat, share stories over tea and cake.

Linda, who has been collecting beer mats since her student days at Hull University in the 1970s, regularly attends the Companionship Care. She recollected how, when she left university, she’d already gathered 3,500 beer mats, and she’s continued her collection ever since.

When she shared this unusual hobby at our Companionship Cafe, another member of our community,Mick, took it upon himself to contribute to her collection. Now, every month, he brings Linda a new batch from his travels – though he’s been known to dodge the question of just how many pubs he visits in the name of research!

Stories like this remind us that meaningful connections can grow at any stage of life and sometimes, they come with a good laugh too.

We’re proud to support and run other local events that bring people together, including:

– Local activity groups to help clients stay involved in activities that bring them joy, like knitting, singing and board games

– Staying active by joining in gentle yoga sessions or a slower-paced football game

– Dementia-friendly groups encourage those with dementia and their loved ones to come along for a chat and some support.

Because sometimes, what makes the biggest difference is simply connecting and being part of something.

Care That Grows With You

Whether someone needs a bit of help now and then, or more specialist care every day, we offer a wide range of services that adapt to changing needs:

✔ Alzheimer’s and dementia care, delivered with patience and understanding
✔ Assistance with mobility, continence and medication, always with dignity
✔ 24-hour and live-in care, for those needing round-the-clock support

We also regularly review care plans to ensure that the care we provide remains right for the person, not just their condition.
