Local home care company, Home Instead Norwich, is celebrating after a successful weekend of fundraising, raising over £500 for Home Instead Charities. The two-day effort saw the team come together for a series of fun and challenging events, all in support of a great cause.
Home Instead Charities exists to keep ageing adults healthy, happy and connected to their communities, striving to create a world in which no one is lonely or isolated in their later years. This cause is close to the heart of Home Instead Norwich, inspiring their recent fundraising efforts to support the charity’s vital work.
The fundraising kicked off on Saturday with several members of the team, including owner Chris Carter and his family, tackling the world’s largest inflatable obstacle course. With an impressive 20 obstacles including ‘The Slapper’, ‘Beast’ and ‘Temple of Doom’, the team bounced their way around the course dressed in pink tutu’s, raising £240 for the charity.
On the Sunday, Chis continued the fundraising by participating in the Royal Parks half marathon. Battling through 13.1 miles, Chris completed the race in an impressive time of 1 hour 37 minutes and added a further £445 to the teams fundraising total!
By the end of the weekend, Home Instead Norwich had raised an impressive £685!
Commenting on the company’s fundraising efforts, owner Chris Carter said, “I’m absolutely thrilled with the success of our fundraising. It was a real team effort, and it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the money we raised will help older adults stay connected.
“Supporting Home Instead Charities is something we’re truly passionate about at Home Instead Norwich. We’re so grateful for the support we’ve received from our friends, family and the wider community. A huge well done to my team for getting involved, and of course thank you to everyone who has donated!”
