Layla Annison, 21, who lives in Norwich, has worked at Home Instead since January 2024 whilst studying Occupational Therapy at the University of East Anglia. She has been practising archery since the age of 11, after joining an after-school club and falling in love with the sport.

Speaking on her return from the Championships in Germany, Layla shared that she finished 6th out of 47 women, meaning she came away with her highest placing in a senior tournament.

Having been on Team GB for the past seven years, Layla has competed for the University of East Anglia and currently trains three to four times a week with Wymondham Archers.

Chris Carter, Owner of Home Instead Norwich commented: “We are all so proud of Layla. She’s such a dedicated individual who puts her all into everything she sets her mind to. Whether that’s her role here at Home Instead, her university degree or her passion for Archery. The opportunity to represent her nation was so well deserved. Hard work really does pay off and the whole team here at Home Instead Norwich would like to congratulate Layla on her recent success.’

Layla added: “It was an incredible experience to compete in Germany at the Archery European Outdoor Championship. It’s really lovely to know I had the whole team from Home Instead Norwich supporting me and cheering me on back at home!”.

After a successful competition for Layla in Germany, in June she will be representing Team GB once again, at the Archery World Cup in Turkey. Everyone at Home Instead Norwich wishes her the very best of luck and looks forward to hearing how she gets on.
