Keeping moving as we get older is so important and what better way to do it than by having fun too. Here are 4 dance classes in Milton Keynes you might like to try.
Whether you’ve had a go at line dancing in the past or you’re completely new to it, Adrian Marsh runs beginners, improvers and intermediate classes on a Monday and Thursday in Newton Longville, a village to the south of Milton Keynes. Each session is an hour and comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended. It’s a great way to get your steps up for the day and uses your brain as much as your body. Don’t worry if country music isn’t your thing, they use pop, latin, and remixes to get you moving. For more information contact Sara [email protected].
Now back in vogue, the events that kept everyone’s spirits up during the war, tea dances are back. Romeo Dance Academy host tea dances every Friday afternoon, 2-4pm in their grand Art Deco style ballroom complete with fully sprung dance floor and licensed bar. Located opposite Milton Keynes Central train station, with on-site parking, the venue is easily accessible by road or rail. You can expect ballroom, Latin sequence, Argentina tango all served with tea and cakes and entry is £8 per person. For more information email [email protected].
The adult ballet classes run by Centrestage Theatre School Milton Keynes are for mixed abilities and the graceful exercises will help to improve posture, stamina and flexibility.
