As we age, support may be needed to maintain hygiene, and we understand this can be a sensitive and uncomfortable issue. At Home Instead Oxford, our focus on continuity helps ease this process, allowing you to build a trusting relationship with your Care Professional, who you’ll see regularly. Our team is trained to provide personal care with dignity, always prioritising your routine and wishes. We also support transitions from companionship or home help to personal care, ensuring you can trust our process every step of the way.

For intimate or personal care, having a trusted, friendly face is essential. Receiving care in the comfort of your own home provides a sense of safety and familiarity. Continuity of care offers many benefits, including consistency and efficiency, ensuring that an individual’s routine is followed and care is tailored to their preferences. Our visits are a minimum of one hour, allowing ample time to support independence in personal care. Physical help given to a person and prompting of an individual to carry out daily living tasks themselves.
Promoting good personal hygiene helps to prevent illness and the spread of infection. It also helps maintain self-confidence and dignity.
A familiar care professional matched with you provides personalised care and support to you in your own home in the way you want it to be provided.
We understand that it can be difficult accepting personal care and that is why you will be introduced to your Care Professionals and they will spend time getting to know you before assisting you with your personal care.
At Home Instead we ensure that each client has a small team of Care Professionals in place to provide you with care so you can be confident that you will have continuity from the same Care Professionals.
At Home Instead, we have a robust approach to ensuring that all Care Professionals have regular observations of practice that we call Support Visits, and assessments of competency for key activities such as handling medication or providing catheter care.
Enable your loved ones to continue to live their life with the support of the Oxford team. If you would like more information about our high quality Personal Care service, please call us on 01865 680287, or fill out the form below.
