Hitting The High Notes In Barry

Hitting The High Notes In Barry

In November our Barry coffee morning and quiz session had a musical surprise when Laura Bradshaw from the Porthkerry Community choir joined in with our Honky Horn Quiz, and then ran a musical taster session after.

If you would like to increase your wellbeing by singing, you can join her choir on Friday afternoons 1.30pm – 3.00pm at St Francis Millennium Centre, Park Rd, Barry  CF62 6NX.

We also had John Marvelley from The Oddfellows Society and Tom Geere from The Vale of Glamorgan Council join in with the fun.

John gave out goodie bags and information about Oddfellows, click here for more information – The Oddfellows. A friendlier society.

Tom told us about The Golden Pass scheme whereby he can pay for 8 x sessions at a sporting activity of your choice to increase the fitness of the over 60s – click here for more information – Active Adults

Our next session will celebrate Christmas, with a festive quiz, Christmas songs, mince pies and hot drinks on Thursday 12th December at 11am.
