Home Instead Celebrates With The Young Onset Dementia Team

In May to mark Dementia Awareness Week, we joined the Young Onset Dementia Team and their patients in a celebratory get-together.

The weather was beautiful and we were  located at Porthkerry Park in Barry.

The Barry Island Ukulele Strummers performed a selection of songs for us to sing along with.

We had the chance to speak to patients about home care in Cardiff, Penarth and Barry as well as share our selection of free community groups.

Alongside us we had Pedal Power  – Pedal Power | accessible cycle hire | Cardiff, UK (cardiffpedalpower.org) who gave taster rides around the park.

There was an array of refreshments provided and everyone had a lovely time socialising.
