Sully MenoPals Learns About Pelvic Health

In our May session, the Sully MenoPals group had Rachel from Rachel Disley Physiotherapy –  Rachel Disley Physiotherapy | Women’s Health as our guest speaker to teach us about the importance of pelvic health.

Pelvic dysfunction can be a contributory factor to women’s musculoskeletal problems, so she provides specialist physiotherapy to deal with pelvic prolapse, incontinence, pelvic pain, ante-natal or post-natal concerns. Her approach is to combine specialist treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction with mainstream musculoskeletal physiotherapy practice. She believes that every woman deserves the professional opinion of a specialist women’s health physiotherapist.

The group gained from the session along with some taster exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles.

The big take-away from the evening was for us all to keep moving.

By indulging in activity with others, that’s enjoyable and fun, we are more likely to stick with it.

Our Sponsors Home Instead Penarth and Barry are a Menopause friendly employer and they are now seeking more Care Professionals.
