Who's Who at Home Instead Week 3

This week we meet our Recruiter, Chloe

Who’s Who at Home Instead??

Welcome to the next issue of Who’s Who at Home Instead.  This week we’re introducing Chloe from our Recruitment & Retention team.  Chloe is brilliant at choosing just the right person to join our team and support our lovely clients.

What’s your role at Home Instead?

Hi, I’m Chloe the Recruiter for the Home Instead Pocklington & Brough office. I’m committed to growing and retaining our current team of kind, caring and compassionate Care Professionals. Expanding the team allows us to offer our services to new clients in the local community whilst upholding the high-quality service we provide to our existing clients. A lot of work has to go into onboarding a new member of the Care Pro team, references, DBS checks, as well as planning our training days, so that keeps me very busy.

What did you do before coming to Home Instead?

Prior to becoming part of the Home Instead family, I worked for a high-end retail brand as a Recruitment Manager. The multi-faceted role included overseeing the overall recruitment process, onboarding process and varied HR responsibilities to over 250 staff. After taking some time out to have a baby girl, Eden soon was starting pre-school and the time felt right for me to find a role that I could thoroughly enjoy, making a difference to others and utilising my skills and experience within the recruitment sector.

What does “To us it’s personal” mean to you?

‘To us its personal’ means that I only recruit based on if I would feel comfortable having that person care for my own family member.

I always say, ‘you can train anyone to be a Care Professional, but you can’t teach anyone to be a naturally caring and empathetic person’.  That’s why I believe a values-driven recruitment approach is so important here at Home Instead.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I like to spend time with my husband and daughter, we love our food so eating out is top on our priority list on a weekend! Sometimes a takeaway and an at-home movie night can be equally as good! As well as this, we love our holidays abroad and like to make the most of the school holidays together.
