The Role

Job Purpose 

Responsible for client billing and payroll admin processes to manage day to day accounts activities. 

Reporting to Directors and General Manager 

The Role 

  • Accountable for invoicing and payroll administration, including entering client billing hours and expenses. 

  • General company bookkeeping 

  • Process invoices and follow up where appropriate with clients and suppliers.  

  • Manage invoicing, billing, and collections processes.  

  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. 

  • Xero reconciliation of client payments  

  • Manage outstanding debtors  

  • Ensure that client and payee information is correct and updated on all platforms such as people planner and Access. 

  • Prepare regular financial reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial metrics.  

  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports as required for decision-making.  

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. 

  • Respond to finance queries of invoices and provide assistance on finance related matters to stakeholders, third parties and clients as needed. 

  • Assist in the provision of financial data to support key business decisions including client prices, employee pay rates, pricing and contract terms with suppliers. 

  • Purchasing of supplies and reconciliation as required 

  • Petty Cash Management and reconciliation  

  • Ensure compliance with Home Instead’s Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Policy, in respect of employment and service delivery. 

  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business. 

  • Liaise with the company’s Payroll provider to ensure that accurate employee payroll information is supplied on time 

  • This role will be £28,000 full-time equivalent but we are looking for part-time staff to do 3 days per week

Qualifications

Essential Criteria 

  • Good Experience of working in a business finance environment. 

  • Experience of an accounting package (e.g. Xero)  

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask. 

  • Self-motivated and able to work flexibly. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure and timelines. 

  • Strong team player with the confidence to work alone. 

  • Flexible working pattern to meet business needs as required 

  • Ability to follow clear process and proceedures with attention to detail 

  • Abilty to work alone and as part of a team 

  • Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Word, Excel and office software programmes
