At Home Instead Romford, Hornchurch, Rainham, and Dagenham, we are delighted to introduce our Free Memory Café, held at Hornchurch Library every other Monday. This welcoming initiative is designed to support individuals living with dementia, as well as their carers, by providing a space for social interaction, relaxation, and enjoyment.
Who Can Attend?
Our Memory Café is open to everyone. Whether you have a diagnosis of dementia or are simply looking for a supportive environment for yourself or a loved one, you are more than welcome. Carers are encouraged to join, offering them an opportunity to connect with others in similar situations and gain valuable support and advice.
What to Expect
We strive to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere where attendees can feel at ease. The café offers a variety of suitable activities tailored to the interests and abilities of those with dementia. These activities are not only enjoyable but also beneficial in stimulating cognitive function and fostering a sense of community.
Refreshments
What’s a café without a good cup of tea or coffee? At our Memory Café, we provide free tea, coffee, and a selection of delicious cakes. It’s the perfect setting to sit back, enjoy a treat, and have a chat with others.
