Accessed from near Anston Cricket Club, or Rackford Road, there is a little hidden gem of peace and tranquility in these woods. From the bottom entrance, there are relatively flat paths following the banks of Anston Brook which go past Dead Man’s cave. (From the top there is a steep slope and steps.) Conveniently situated for residents in Anston, you will need to find a bench for your picnic to enjoy your packed lunch and perhaps some stories from your friend or relative about the local area! The woods are especially vibrant when the wild garlic and bluebells burst into their springtime glory.

A short 15-minute drive from Anston, is Rother Valley Country Park. The Country Park is a good day out for all the family.
