Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to this year.
It’s hard to believe that 2024 is nearly over. We’ve had a great year here at Home Instead Salisbury and Romsey and we wanted to share some of the highlights with you.
Our fantastic Care Professionals have delivered over 18,200 hours of care to our clients. We have supported clients with major life transitions such as losing a loved one or returning home after hospitalisation as well as with a host of everyday activities such as shopping trips, meal preparation, home help, and more.
2024 was also the first year of our dementia-friendly matinees. It’s been a real pleasure to see how many older adults have come along and enjoyed attending these events. From Forrest Gump to The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and more, we’ve laughed and cried our way through almost a dozen classic films and are looking forward to hosting more in 2025.
This year we’ve also supported Demfest, which celebrated 10 years of Romsey being a dementia-friendly town, and sponsored Walk the Test Way for the second year in a row. We’ve also held our fourth annual Santa to a Senior, where we partner with local primary schools to give Christmas cards to older adults in the community. It was a real joy to see the smiles that these put on some faces.
Looking ahead to 2025, we’re excited, amongst other things, to be launching a new dementia group at the end of January (watch this space!) as well as continuing to provide the best possible care for older adults in the Salisbury and Romsey areas. To keep track of what we’re up to, follow us on Facebook or on Instagram, or if you’d like to enquire about care, you can do so here.
