Loneliness can be a real challenge for older adults, particularly if family don’t live nearby. Even just one or two visits a week from one of our warm and friendly Care Professionals can make a real difference. Whether it’s sharing a cup of tea and a natter, enjoying a game of Scrabble, or having coffee and cake at Wilton House Garden Centre, our Care Professionals are here to bring some joy through spending time with your loved ones. We take interests and personalities into account when matching our clients and Care Professionals, which means that spending time together is something that they can both look forward to.

Why Companionship Care may be right for you

Most home care is focused on tasks such as medication, hydration and nutrition. While these are crucial, we believe that a holistic approach to care is essential, which is why our visits are relationship-led rather than task-oriented. This is also why we work closely with the wider community to find out what’s on and to signpost or even take clients there. We’ve helped one of our clients to attend a weekly activity group to keep his social life going and taken another client on a shopping trip to get ready for a cruise. In these and other ways, we ensure that we are promoting clients’ emotional wellbeing as well as their physical wellbeing.
