The Salisbury and Romsey Dementia Care team, here to help every step of the way

Dementia is affecting an increasing number of people: according to Alzheimer’s Society, “one in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime.” We know how hard it can be when a loved one receives a dementia diagnosis and so we’re here to support both you and them as you navigate those challenges. Dementia care is close to our heart: our registered manager is a dementia trainer and we’re involved in several community initiatives and support groups in Salisbury and Romsey for those living with dementia. While we’re very aware of the challenges, we’re also convinced that it’s possible to live well with a dementia diagnosis, and that’s what our Care Professionals are here to help our clients to do.

Why Dementia Care may be right for you

Dementia care is a passion for our owner Jon. His grandfather died at the age of 59 having lived with dementia. In the late 80s there wasn’t the knowledge or understanding of dementia or how to care for someone with it. Having seen the struggles of his family to support his grandparents, Jon is passionate about providing the best-in-class support for families with dementia. Consistency, routine, and not being rushed are all crucial to helping someone stay at home with dementia. We build the smallest team possible around the client to ensure that they get relationship-led care and support from someone who knows them well and who can respond proactively to their changing needs.
