Right in the heart of one of Ryedale’s most picturesque villages, Thornton-le-Dale, is Baldersons Welcome Café, a family run business since 1895.
Serving a wide variety of food and snacks all day long, there’s sure to be something that takes your fancy. Whether you decide to indulge in a fresh cream cake or one of their hot traditional pastry’s, you can be assured that they have been made on the premises, using traditional recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.
There’s plentiful seating available and if you happen to visit on a sunny day, you’ll be delighted to find their sheltered tea garden, open all year around.
Betton Park Tearoom (Temporarily Closed)
Offering fabulous views across the Vale of Pickering to the Yorkshire Wolds, Betton Park Tearoom & Restaurant offers something for everyone.
Whether you fancy a cuppa, light lunch, Sunday Roast or their famous Afternoon Tea, you will be met by a welcoming member of staff and a cosy log burning stove in the winter.
It’s always best to book ahead for a table to avoid disappointment as they can get busy. You will find Betton Farm Tearoom located on Racecourse Road, East Ayton.

Hartley’s Café & Bar
Hartley’s Café and Bar is a firm favourite amongst clients of Home Instead due to it’s convenient location, relaxed atmosphere and great selection of teas, coffees and meals.
The Café, located inside Scarborough Rugby Club on Scalby Road, offers it’s visitors comfortable furniture and friendly staff.
