Training Centre of Excellence Launch
The middle of October saw the launch event of our brand new Training Centre of Excellence; our nurse-led training facility based in our South Sheffield office.
It was a fantastic occasion, with the Lord Mayor of Sheffield, Jayne Dunn, in attendance to cut the ribbon during the grand opening.
It was wonderful to see so many faces from our referral provider network there to share in this exciting new venture for health and social care training in Sheffield. Alongside the Lord Mayor, we were joined by representatives of Sheffield City Council, South Yorkshire Integrated Care Board and the NHS, as well local training and voluntary organisations.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to Clark and Partners for generously providing a track hoist, profiling bed, accessible bathroom suite and more for our Care Professionals to to practice moving and handling theory prior to meeting clients.
They will also be able to expand their care knowledge, developing specialisms in diabetes, catheter care, wound care, bowel care and other long term health conditions, to allow clients to manage their conditions at home.
We also want to promote the professional development of Care Professionals; by upskilling them and providing them the means to train in a specialism, we offer them a chance to develop in their careers as Care Professionals.
