The Home Instead staff have been busy these past months, creating new partnerships in the community as well as establishing new ones.
Our Memory Café held in partnership with Wentworth Woodhouse has truly taken off, with four monthly sessions having run successfully. The project aims to create a safe space for people living with dementia and their carers and loved ones to spend an afternoon in the beautiful Camellia House.
With gentle stimulative activities and delicious cakes, it proves to be a popular outing for many of our clients and members of the public!
We recently partnered with Support Social Care Heroes, a organisation based in Sheffield that provide national support for all social care workers. From providing nutrition and exercise workshops to pampering sessions, SSCH aim to improve the emotional and physical wellbeing through holistic support.
If you work in the social care sector, get in touch to see how they can support you to better wellbeing at work.
The Sheffield South team returned to Best Solicitors in Sheffield City Centre to catch up with the Wills & Probate team. Home Instead shared our new Memory Café project and hopes for future community events to combat isolation for adults in the community, as well as our partnership with Liddy’s Solicitors in Barnsley announced earlier this year.
The Wills & Probate team shared some fantastic resources with us to help make the process of writing a will a little easier.
The recruitment team have also been out chatting in the local community and raising awareness of Home Instead’s services at galas and careers events.
You might have spotted us Oughtibridge Gala or Woodseats Festival, or popped in to see us at one of our pop up ‘Where Could Care Take You?’ events!
We’re a friendly bunch so don’t be afraid to come and have a chat if you ever see us out and about! We’d love to share how Home Instead can kickstart your career in care, with progression opportunities and a flexible working pattern built around you.
