Step Into Their World: Join us for Our Dementia Bus Experience

Hosted by Home Instead South Cheshire

At Home Instead South Cheshire, we believe that the most powerful care starts with empathy – and empathy begins with understanding. That’s why this May, following on from Dementia Action Week, we’re inviting our local community to take part in something truly unique and thought-provoking:

The Virtual Dementia Tour Bus Experience.

Date: Thursday 29th May

Location: Nantwich Town Square

Time: 10am – 4pm

This is a free, interactive experience open to the public – no booking required. Whether you’re a family carer, a local business owner, a professional in health and social care, or simply someone wanting to understand more about Dementia, this is an opportunity not to miss.

What Is The Dementia Bus?

The Dementia Bus Virtual Dementia Tour Mobile – Training 2 Care UK Ltd offers a specially-designed, hands on simulation that allows you to experience the world through the eyes of someone living with Dementia. Inside the bus, participants are guided through a realistic, immersive environment that alters the senses – affecting how you see, hear, move and interact with your surroundings.

This experience isn’t just informative – it’s deeply moving. Many people leave the bus with a new level of appreciation for the daily struggles those with Dementia face, and a renewed sense of compassion.

The virtual Dementia Tour is used across the globe in hospitals, care homes, and training centres. It’s a proven way to transform understanding, challenge assumptions, and inspire real change in how we support people living with Dementia.

Why We’re Bringing This to South Cheshire

Here at Home Instead South Cheshire, supporting people with Dementia is at the heart of what we do. From our specially trained Care Professionals to our Dementia-Friendly community initiatives, we are committed to helping individuals live well at home for as long as possible.

We also know that care doesn’t stop with professionals – it involves families, friends, neighbours, and people in the local community. By bringing this experience to the community, we hope to spark conversations, share knowledge, and help to build a more Dementia aware community.

Whether you have personal experience with Dementia or not, this is an event that will stay with you. It’s about walking in someone else’s shoes – and coming away better equipped to understand their reality.

Just Turn-Up – No Booking Needed

This event is completely free and open to all. There’s no need to book a place – just call down between 10am – 4pm and take part when it suits you. The experience only takes a short time, but the impact lasts much longer.

Our friendly team will be there throughout the day to chat, answer questions, and provide information about Dementia Care Alzheimer’s & Dementia Care At Home | Home Instead and the support available through Home Instead and other local services.

Take a few moments to change the way you see Dementia – forever.

Come along, bring a friend, and join us as we continue to build a kinder, more understanding community for those living with Dementia. We look forward to seeing you there.
