We had the absolute pleasure of attending the launch of the new Nantwich Stroke Survivors Speech and Language Group.
It was wonderful to see so many people attending the newly launched Nantwich group, and we are so pleased to be able to support the group by sponsoring their leaflets. It is such a worthy cause and a group that is set to help so many local people.
There are currently four groups across the area, and their mission is to help stroke survivors with speech, language and communication difficulties to gain more contact with others and to rid them of their social isolation.
By providing a relaxing environment, with peer support and practical tools to develop new ways of communicating, they help to rebuild confidence and reduce vulnerability. They aim for people to feel that they matter and are valued members of the community.
