| In March, Douglas, Kate, Lesley, Denise, Andrea and Linda had the pleasure of representing South Devon at the Home Instead UK Annual Conference at the Manchester Central Convention Centre. This was the first event of this size since 2019 and was attended by over 1000 people from over 200 offices from around the UK. The theme for this year’s conference was ELEVATE and IGNITING GROWTH where we heard from a range of keynote speakers and attended a range of workshops designed to guide us through upcoming changes to the brand and to help us make the most of every opportunity to grow our business. We heard from a range of keynote speakers such as Martin Jones OBE (CEO Home Instead UK and International), Jane Townson (CEO Homecare Association) about the 5 year vision for Home Instead UK and the growing importance of Home Care in the social care sector. We also heard a passionate and rousing presentation from Scotty Mills entitled ‘Never Give In’. Scotty is Britain’s highest ranking black Royal Marine and talked to those in attendance about his experience in Iraq and about mindset change, resilience and team performance. It really did inspire us all to push harder and never give up! |
