Sophie Mellor and Melissa Holliday
Owners
I oversee the whole operation of running Home Instead South Lakes, including the Care Professionals, Office Support Team, the Senior Leadership Team and a network of external contacts who help support our business and clients.
Louise Yates
Group Operations Manager
As Operations Manager for the South Lakes branch, I ensure the Support Team is fully supported while overseeing both our Care Professionals and clients. I’m responsible for making sure we consistently meet care standards and deliver outstanding service.
Rachel Sanders
Operations Manager
As Care Standards Manager and Registered Manager, I oversee the Care Team and work with our Support Team to ensure we meet all franchise standards, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements, delivering safe, high-quality care every day.
Pamela Gios
Care Standards Manager / Registered Manager
My role is to oversee the onboarding of our new clients, I liaise with lots of external agencies regarding our clients and their families. I am also responsible for ensuring our clients are invoiced correctly and that Care professionals are paid correctly.
Amanda Lancaster
Group Business Development and Systems Manager
As Care Operations Manager, I support our Care Professionals with personal development, one-to-ones, and more. I also oversee some of our complex clients, ensuring care is tailored, consistent, and meets the outstanding standards we’re known for.
Rachel Dixon
Care Operations Manager
As a Care Coordinator at Home Instead, I create tailored care plans, carry out reviews, and keep everything up to date. I liaise with families, GPs, and other professionals, and conduct care consultations to ensure every client receives the support they need.
Deana Kane
Care Coordinator (Clients)
I play a key role in ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of care. I oversee care plans, conduct regular check-ins, and respond to any changes in needs to make sure each client’s support remains personalised and effective.

I connect with all our new Care Professionals, guiding them through the early stages of their journey with Home Instead. From the first chat to their initial training and support, I’m here to help them feel confident, prepared, and part of the team.

I joined Home Instead South Lakes in 2020 as a Care Professional and I’m now the Brand and Media Coordinator! I love being able to do this role and that Home Instead have enabled me to do this through their fantastic Career Pathway!

I’m the Field/Admin Support at Home Instead South Lakes! I help with new client enquiries, support Care Professionals with their learning, and assist with auditing and admin tasks. I’m proud to be part of a team that ensures exceptional care for our community.

After working as a teaching assistant for over 20 years, I knew I needed a change for the last decade of my career. The light bulb moment came when I met a Care Coordinator discussing help and support with an elderly neighbor of mine. I had also heard a glowing report about the respect and care given by Home Instead to a dear friend’s mother when she was very ill. All these factors led me to make the move. What a privilege it has been to work with Rachel and the team at Home Instead Kendal! We first met when we won the opportunity to have a ‘mini garden makeover’ in February 2022. From that moment on I have been most impressed with the determination and drive of Rachel and her team to get things done. We continued our partnership when we invited Home Instead clients and their carers to come and work alongside Bee Team members to plant trees for the Queen’s Jubilee. What a beautiful and memorable afternoon that was with young and old working together across the generations, in the glorious sunshine, enjoying both gardening and companionship. A simple act but very special indeed!
