Sophie Mellor and Melissa Holliday
Owners
I oversee the whole operation of running Home Instead South Lakes, including the Care Professionals, Office Support Team, the Senior Leadership Team and a network of external contacts who help support our business and clients.
Louise Yates
Group Operations Manager
I work closely in the Senior Leadership team with Louise, ensuring our mission statement and our clients and Care Professionals are always at the centre of everything we do.
Rachel Sanders
Operations Manager
I work with the Support Team to ensure that we are complying with franchise standards, brand guidelines, regulations, and legislation.
Pamela Gios
Care Standards Manager / Registered Manager
My role is to oversee the onboarding of our new clients, I liaise with lots of external agencies regarding our clients and their families. I am also responsible for ensuring our clients are invoiced correctly and that Care professionals are paid correctly.
Amanda Lancaster
Group Business Development and Systems Manager
My role is to oversee the scheduling of clients’ visits. Together with the rest of the office support team I ensure our Care Professionals and clients always have an outstanding experience of Home Instead.
Rachel Dixon
Care Operations Manager
I support our Care team and our amazing Care Professionals. I also help with training our new Care Professionals and their annual training, competencies, care plans, queries with clients and lots more! I ensure our Care Professionals are always fully supported and valued.
Deana Kane
Care Coordinator (Clients)
I play a key role in ensuring our clients receive the highest standard of care. I oversee care plans, conduct regular check-ins, and respond to any changes in needs to make sure each client’s support remains personalised and effective.
Rachel Boulton
Care Coordinator (Clients)
I support our Care team and our amazing Care Professionals. I also help with training our new Care Professionals and their annual training, competencies, care plans, queries with clients and lots more! I ensure our Care Professionals are always fully supported and valued.

I joined Home Instead South Lakes in 2020 as a Care Professional and I’m now the Brand and Media Coordinator! I love being able to do this role and that Home Instead have enabled me to do this through their fantastic Career Pathway!

Alongside my role as a Care Professional, I’m excited to step into the role of Engagement Coordinator! I’ll be meeting key community members and building relationships to help more clients discover our care services. Looking forward to making a difference in more lives!

After working as a teaching assistant for over 20 years, I knew I needed a change for the last decade of my career. The light bulb moment came when I met a Care Coordinator discussing help and support with an elderly neighbor of mine.
I had also heard a glowing report about the respect and care given by Home Instead to a dear friend’s mother when she was very ill. All these factors led me to make the move. I now work with such kind and considerate people, and each day, the clients make me smile.

What a privilege it has been to work with Rachel and the team at Home Instead Kendal! We first met when we won the opportunity to have a ‘mini garden makeover’ in February 2022. From that moment on I have been most impressed with the determination and drive of Rachel and her team to get things done.
We continued our partnership when we invited Home Instead clients and their carers to come and work alongside Bee Team members to plant trees for the Queen’s Jubilee. What a beautiful and memorable afternoon that was with young and old working together across the generations, in the glorious sunshine, enjoying both gardening and companionship.
