Extra Support?

As you visited your elderly loved ones over the festive period, you may have noticed subtle changes that weren’t apparent before. Perhaps it’s a shift in eating habits, unexpected weight loss, or unusual forgetfulness. Maybe it’s a decrease in social activities, an unusually empty calendar, or a lack of interest in seeing close friends. Significant mood changes, missed medications, or unused prescriptions can also be signs. Even small details like an unexplained dent in the car can be cause for concern.

These changes can be early indicators that your loved ones might need a bit of extra support. At Home Instead, we’re here to help families navigate these challenges with compassionate care and understanding. If you’re noticing these signs and wondering about the next steps, we’re here to guide and support you. Contact us to discuss how we can help your parents maintain their independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.

 Our Care Professionals  are our

life-blood

Many of us enjoyed a break over the festive season but home care doesn’t stop.

We want to extend our thanks to the many care professionals who continued to work throughout the holiday period to ensure their clients’ care and wellbeing are maintained. Thank you for all you do, all you give, and all your kindness. We appreciate you always.

Being a Care Professional is a very rewarding and fulfilling role, and all our Care Professionals who undergo extensive in-house training and subsequent support visits, understand the importance of service. They all go above and beyond for their clients’ needs and we are grateful for their dedication and support. Please get in touch with us if you would like to know more about becoming a Home Instead Care Professional – it’s an opportunity worth living.

Community Christmas Tree  festival

Home Instead are proud to have sponsored the Community Christmas Tree festival at All Saints Church in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield.

Thank you to Lesley Breakwell, Jacquie Priddey and Jayne Jones for your efforts in decorating what looks like a stunning tree – the purple ball balls are a lovely touch and very Home Instead.

Giving back to the community is part of our mission statement – it’s wonderful to have such a kind natured team who truly “care” about the wellbeing of others.

Age UK

Around 2.3 million older people wish they had someone to spend time with over the festive period.

Age UK partnered with ITV to highlight the issue of loneliness among older people in the run-up to Christmas. This can be a particularly tough time, with many older people feeling lonelier during the festive period than at other times of the year.
