Last week, we welcomed Sheila and her furry family to our Memory Cafe, and what a lot of fun we had!
Last week we welcomed Sheila and her furry family to St. Barnabas Church for our Memory Cafe. Our record-breaking number of group members enjoyed petting Monty the Pony, two beautiful doves, an adorable pair of rabbits and a cute little guinea pig, while learning about how they joined the family business.
Our group is growing as sessions go on, but we are always happy to welcome new members. The groups are for people living with dementia, and people do generally come along with their carers, however, if you would like to come alone, that’s also completely fine.
We have loads of free and fun activities coming up that you can get involved in, including pottery painting, an Elvis impersonator, a visit from Greyhound Rescue, and much more! All sessions are followed by a companionship cafe with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. There is no need for you to book in advance, just turn up on the day and get involved.
The details:
