We understand that any care you need can change over time, and we will assist you at every stage to provide you with as much care as you require. Home Instead will work closely with you and your clinical team to ensure we provide you with the most effective support possible. Our dedicated Care Professionals are able to utilise additional skills to support you when required, but will also promote your independence during your cancer care at home.
Our Care Professionals have been trained to extremely high standards to be able to support and care for people in their own homes if their condition is considered stable. Nurses are recommended for conditions that are deemed extremely unpredictable or unstable, or that require frequent changes to the clinical care performed and a deeper level of knowledge. We will work closely with you and your clinical team when creating a care plan to assess your needs.
All of our Care Professionals are trained in basic life support and are able to act in an emergency. Competency assessments are undertaken annually to ensure Care Professionals feel confident in how to support you, and how to access emergency services should you need them. Care plans are provided and include specific details on how to support you if you become unwell while they are providing cancer care for you at home.
Enable your loved ones to continue to live their life with the support of the Swansea team. If you would like more information about our high quality Cancer Care service, please call us on 01792 790890, or fill out the form below.
