Here’s are a few reasons why we are more than just a Care Provider
We’ve helped more families find a way that’s right for them. Our experience and expertise, compassionate approach, and highly skilled Care Professionals can help people live better, more fulfilled lives at home and in their communities.
Here’s are a few reasons why we are more than just a Care Provider.
Our Care Professionals complete a comprehensive classroom training before starting their role. Advanced training is also available to existing staff who want to excel in their careers. We conduct a highly selective screening process, often hiring less than 2% of the candidates that apply, and all are thoroughly screened, bonded, and professionally insured.
We are available 24/7/365. You can always speak with a live person during office hours and after hours as part of our emergency on-call response team (no voicemails, delayed callback, or answering services). Using cutting edge technology, our Person-Centred care App ensures care is tailored to our client’s individual’s specific wishes and values whilst reducing anxiety knowing the wishes are documented and improve communication between Care Professionals, clients and family members if they so wish.
We partner with the very best Home Health and Hospice companies in our community to help your loved ones stay home. For example we are partnered with providers like Platinum Skies Taunton and Barchester Health care. For nearly 20 years, we have been providing the highest standard of care, and creating industry-leading training programmes for our Care Professionals that are accredited by nursing and medical professionals.
Our Care Professionals are always introduced to clients at the start of services, at the time and day you requested. It is important to us, that we consider client’s desires, values, family situations, social circumstances and lifestyles; seeing you as an individual and working together to develop appropriate solutions with your Care Professional team.
As the only CQC OUSTANDING rated care provider in the area, we have a significant focus on client and Care Professional compatibility. Building a lasting relationship with our clients and their loved ones and ensuring that all care is person-centred. Person-centred care is a way of thinking and doing things that allows our clients to be seen as equal partners in planning, developing and monitoring their care to make sure it meets their needs. This means putting clients and their families at the centre of decision making and seeing them as experts, working alongside their Care professionals to get the best outcome.
Our Care Professionals recognise that crafting in every format, brings people together. It can help with anxiety, depression and negative feelings while offering social support and positive relationships.
Research has shown that crafting, regardless of the medium you use, can bolster mood, improve self-confidence, and reduce stress overall. In addition, crafting has also shown to improve mental agility, improves both gross and fine motor movements, and decrease cognitive decline.
Crafting additionally has been shown to be a natural anti-depressant. Research studies have shown that those suffering from PTSD, Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Insomnia and any level of chronic pain have achieved a reduction in symptoms by incorporating crafts into their lives. Craft courses and clubs have been advised since the dawn of occupational therapy in the late 19th century, with basketry used to relieve anxiety and physical ailments in soldiers during the first world war.
In the Wellington, our Care Professional, Amanda, takes her client to a craft club called Bodley Studio.
Sam Riley is a mixed media artist running Bodely Arts and Craft Studio. Her ‘goal is to inspire people to have a go…try something new and enjoy the process of creating – whether you are a complete beginner or more experienced. All you need is an open mind and a bit of enthusiasm!’
Amanda’s words “I first came across Bodley Studio in Wellington after moving here in 2020. After the various lockdowns, I started attending workshops and still go to a weekly art journaling class and various one-off workshops. All you need is a willingness to learn, and you will thrive.
Last year, I introduced my lovely client to Bodley, and since then, we both attend workshops together. It’s been lovely to see my client become more confident in meeting new people, which can sometimes be daunting.”
