A recap of our recent Care Pro meeting at Home Instead Taunton & West Somerset, filled with updates, training, and heartfelt celebrations.
On 17th September, we held an engaging and vibrant Care Professional meeting at Home Instead Taunton & West Somerset, bringing our amazing team together for a session full of updates, celebrations, and valuable learning. With purple as our theme in recognition of World Alzheimer’s Month, it was the perfect setting to celebrate our commitment to dementia care and honor the important work our Care Pros do every day.
The senior management team led sessions on key updates, upcoming plans, our PEAQ survey (Pursuing Excellence by Advancing Quality), and the importance of staff wellbeing. We also covered essential care training, regulations, and policies to keep everyone up to date. During the event, we introduced the Dementia Guide and dementia-friendly name badges, specifically created to enhance the support provided to our clients living with dementia.
After these informative sessions, we hosted a Q&A, encouraging our Care Pros to connect with the leadership team and share their insights. We also celebrated the Care Pro of the Quarter, Rachel. Rachel’s dedication has been truly inspiring—she supported FM’s family through a challenging time, even being mentioned at the funeral for her kindness and care. She’s been described as supportive, resourceful, and wonderful to shadow. We are grateful to Rachel, and to all our Care Pros, for their dedication and compassion.
At Home Instead Taunton & West Somerset, we believe in fostering an environment where our Care Professionals are supported, celebrated, and given opportunities to grow. Through regular team meetings, one-on-one check-ins, wellbeing programs, and training—both online and in-person—we ensure our team feels empowered to provide the best care possible.
