Collaborating with organisations across the area, Home Instead hosted an event giving advice and support to family carers and anyone wanting to help the elderly
Attendees had the opportunity to hear from representatives of many support organisations who offer crucial advice and share their knowledge of issues affecting older people and their families.
The team at Home Instead Telford North, Newport & Market Drayton, whose Care Professionals receive specialist, City and Guilds assured dementia training, gave expert insight into caring for someone living with dementia, as well as how to age well, living safe and independently.
Community Engagement Manager, Chrissy Davies, says, “It is a privilege to be able to partner with several prestigious organisations to deliver advice giving practical and emotional support. Our aim is that those who visit the event will gain a better understanding of how they can help care for their older loved ones, as well as support the older members in our communities in general.
The Exhibitors were available from 10-3 to chat to anyone interested in finding out more about living well with Dementia, coupled with learning how to support your loved one to continue living safely, as well as understanding how to access their services, whether for the here and now or for those wanting to start their planning for the future.
The event was free and open to the general public from any area, family, friends, local businesses and services who perhaps want to find out more.
