How providing Health Care At Home is helping free up beds in Thurrock hospitals and preventing hospitalisation for our clients.
One of our clients has COPD, she was frequently having to go into hospital and be put on a nebuliser.
When we started our Health Care At Home services, we trained our Care Professionals, who help to support this client, on how to set up the nebuliser, how to administer medication through a nebuliser and how to keep the machine and all its parts thoroughly clean.
Since we have been giving our client her nebuliser at home, she has not had to go into hospital and her breathing is a lot better.
Not only does this free up beds and NHS time, it means our client has the freedom to be at home and carry on her normal life, knowing that we are there to provide her with this vital service when she needs it.
