A great resource - your local memory café

Client with Care Professional and daughter - Home Instead

Memory cafés are a fantastic local resource to help support people who are living with dementia,Alzheimer’s and memory loss, even if undiagnosed, their families/their carers. They are a regular event run for a few hours in a various locations around Cornwall. They are there to provide both social and emotional support and can signpost to other local resources. The cafés offer various activities including exercise, dance, music, entertainment; paper therapies and of course time spent with to socialise. They are fun, friendly and in most cases free.

If a loved one is living with memory loss and you believe they would benefit from some companionship or trips out, shopping and help around the house or some support with personal care, then feel free to contact us. Our small teams of Care Professionals are fully introduced before they visit, come on time, are fully trained and are there for at least an hour – all so they can build a supportive and meansingful relationship with their clients, many of whom are living with dementia, Alzheimer’s or memory loss.

If you are looking for support to help a loved enjoy continuing to live in their own home for as long as possible, then please free to contact us for a chat.
