Why Palliative Care may be right for you

Knowing what to expect when someone is nearing the end can help prepare families but not everyone wants to know beforehand. There are many changes that can happen to a person in the last few weeks before they pass away. People eat and drink less, feel more tired and can get symptoms like pain, nausea or breathlessness. They may have trouble swallowing or a sore mouth. Subsequently they are likely to lose weight and look frailer. Sleeping more than usual is normal and loss of interest in things they previously enjoyed or engaging with things going on around them.
