These sessions, delivered by our fantastic trainer Sarah Knowles, offer a warm, welcoming space for anyone who wants to learn more about dementia, share experiences, and discover ways to better support loved ones

It’s not about facts and figures; it’s about hearing personal stories, asking questions, and gaining a deeper understanding of the real impact dementia can have on individuals and families.

Why Dementia Awareness Matters

Dementia affects nearly a million people in the UK, and many of us know someone who is living with it. Our recent research revealed that 84% of people feel more should be done to educate families about living with dementia.

At Home Instead, we’re committed to being part of that change.

We know that with the right support, people can live well with dementia in the place where they feel happiest – at home.

What to Expect from the Sessions

We will provide practical advice, tips, and emotional support for everyone attending. Through these sessions, we aim to:

– Raise awareness about the challenges faced by people living with dementia.

– Offer guidance on how to create a supportive environment at home.

– Discuss the importance of care options that help people live comfortably and safely.

– Create a more understanding and dementia-friendly community.

– Find out about activities and support groups.

Whether you’re caring for a loved one, running a local dementia-friendly business, or just looking to understand more about dementia, Sarah will be waiting for you with the kettle on!

Join Us
Our Dementia Awareness Sessions will be held in our office, and we encourage everyone to come along for a chat and some refreshments. These sessions are open to all, and we hope they will provide valuable insights into how we can all support those living with dementia in our community.

Let’s make a difference together.
