Support Home Instead Tyne Valley's "Be a Santa" campaign in 2024. Donate gifts at Hexham, Corbridge, and Stocksfield drop off points to bring Christmas cheer to older adults.
At Home Instead Tyne Valley, we’re thrilled to continue our “Be a Santa” campaign in 2024. This has become a much-loved tradition for us and we have now been bringing smiles to the faces of older people in our local Northumberland towns and villages for over a decade. By donating a gift, you can make this Christmas extra special for a local older adult.
Our “Be a Santa” campaign is all about showing older members of our community here in Tyne Valley that they are thought of and valued. Donated gifts we collect will be wrapped and shared with those attending local community centres, where they’ll enjoy festive meals and companionship.
This year, we’re proud to be supporting Hexham Community Centre, where gifts will be given out as older adults will come together for a Christmas dinner on Christmas day.
As Heather, our owner at Home Instead Tyne Valley says “For many older people, the holidays can be a difficult time. Our Be a Santa campaign is about acts of kindness and letting people know they’re not alone. Every gift donated brings a smile to someone’s face and really does make a difference.”
Supporting us and our local older adults is really easy, and every single gift makes a difference. We’ve partnered with our local Boots Pharmacies to make donating easy and convenient.
You can drop off gifts at our drop off boxes at any of the following locations:
– Boots Hexham at 7 Fore St, Hexham, NE46 1LU
– Boots Corbridge at 4 Town Hall Buildings, Princes St, Corbridge, NE45 5AD
– Boots Stocksfield at 1 Alexandra Terrace, Stocksfield, NE43 7LA
Or bring them directly to:
– Home Instead Tyne Valley Office at Mallan House, Bridge End Industrial Estate, Hexham, NE46 4DQ
If you can’t make it to a drop-off point, it’s no problem! You can choose a gift from our Amazon wish list and have it sent straight to our Home Instead Tyne Valley office here in Hexham. Every little gift adds to the magic.
We’re grateful for all donations, big or small. Please make sure all gifts are new and unwrapped. If you’re looking for inspiration, here are some ideas:
Final Drop-Off Date: 13th December 2024
