Quality companionship starts with understanding what matters to you. We begin with a home visit to learn about your interests, routines and preferences. Perhaps you’d value someone to share your passion for cricket, tend to the garden together, or help you stay connected with your local community group. Our careful matching makes all the difference – like pairing our client who grew up in India with a Care Professional who shares her love of Keralan recipes, creating really special shared experiences through cultural understanding.
We offer two types of home care: hourly care, where we visit at set times, or live-in care, where a carer resides in the home. Both are overseen by our care management team and delivered by compassionate Care Professionals. Each care package is made up of of a unique mix services to meet your needs.

“The regular carer that I have is delightful, cheerful and always willing to put my well-being first,” shares one client on homecare.co.uk. “As a retired teacher, she has a rather special gift which is empathy. I find this very motivating and unselfish.” Another client notes: “My carer is companionable, carries out tasks to the best of his considerable ability and we have found shared interests. It’s always good to see him.”

Our approach to companionship stems from Tony O’Flaherty’s belief that meaningful relationships are at the heart of great care. As our owner and a local Dementia Champion, Tony has spent over a decade building a service where care is unhurried and personal. This philosophy shapes everything we do – from how we recruit Care Professionals who genuinely value spending time with older people, to ensuring every client has regular, familiar faces they can trust.
Companionship often extends into our wider community activities. Many clients and their Care Professionals regularly attend our local community cafés – whether it’s joining in with singing at the Sunflower Café in Balham, or enjoying coffee and conversation at our Tulip Café in West Dulwich. These events, alongside our partnerships with Age UK Lambeth and local community groups, help create lasting social connections beyond individual care visits.
