At Home Instead West Lothian, we’re delighted to share the incredible results from our recent PEAQ (Pursuing Excellence by Advancing Quality) survey.

The annual survey gathers genuine feedback from our clients and Care Professionals. This valuable input allows us to recognise our strengths and identify areas for improvement, ensuring we consistently provide top-quality home care and companionship to our clients.

With 95% of clients recommending our services, it’s clear that our team’s commitment to high-quality, personalised care is making a real difference.

Our Care Professionals also play a huge part in this success, with 95% expressing pride in their work and 100% confidence in their ability to meet clients’ needs.

These results reflect the passion and dedication of our care team and the positive experiences of our clients.

Our Valued Clients

We’re very grateful for the kind words from our clients, who have shared their heartfelt feedback with us:

“We’ve been very pleased with the quality of care provided to mum. She enjoys her time with her companion carer every week and always seems to have had a lovely time. We are also very pleased with the overnight respite care that we’ve had, which has allowed us to have short breaks from caring. Mum has been very well cared for during these stays and we have been able to get away and relax knowing that she is in good hands. All the staff we’ve met during our time using Home Instead have been lovely.” — Jackie Tremain

“Home Instead have been looking after my relative for 4 years and have been excellent throughout that time. They have responded to her changing needs in a compassionate and efficient way. Nothing has been too much trouble for them, and when urgent situations have arisen, they have always responded appropriately and gone the extra mile whenever necessary. I could not fault them and have been very grateful to them. My relative could not have stayed in her home as long as she did without them.” — F McCluckie

“I have found great comfort knowing that a Home Instead carer visits my mum three times a week for companionship and assistance with daily tasks. I live in Australia, and my elderly mum, who has early-stage dementia, lives in Scotland. Although she has other loved ones nearby, it was important to me that we had an external service in place so that not everything fell onto those family members and that the care arrangements could adapt as my mum’s needs change in the future. The visits are the highlights of my mum’s week!” — Adele K

“Home Instead provides a very caring, empathetic service, which has also been very flexible when we have needed it to be. The carers are happy to do whatever is needed and also help to support in doing things.” — Denise Tracey

Our Compassionate Care Professionals

The feedback from our Care Professionals is equally inspiring, and it’s clear that they’re passionate about the work they do.

“I know that working with Home Instead stays true to their values and mission. It’s not just sound bites. It is very person-centred and hopefully will continue to be. Very caring and approachable leadership team.”

“I believe my visits have an impact on my clients’ well-being and help them live independently in their own home. I feel appreciated and valued, which is extremely rewarding.”

“Home Instead isn’t like other care companies as I can spend an hour or more with my clients. I feel appreciated and valued, which is extremely rewarding.”

“I can be myself, which is so lovely as in my previous job I felt like I was a number, not a person, so credit to Home Instead.”

It’s clear that the work environment at Home Instead West Lothian has achieved both a sense of community and professionalism. Our Care Professionals are proud to work with us, knowing that they have the support they need to provide the highest level of care.
