Industry leading training

Care Professional is the special name we give to our carers.  We set our Care Professionals up for success right from the beginning of their career with Home Instead with a great onboarding programme that gives them an in-depth introduction to care.  This is accompanied by ongoing training to the highest of standards using our industry leading training programmes which are accredited by nursing and medical professionals.

Many of our Care Professionals are trained in various common clinical skills, such as catheter care, enteral feeding care, stoma care and basic wound care and have regular competency checks on their knowledge and their clinical skills.  They also receive on-going support and guidance from our training team to keep their knowledge current.  We build their knowledge through award-winning specialist training so as your needs change, our Care Professionals are ready with the right knowledge and skills to support you.Over the course of our Care Professionals’ careers, they accumulate a wealth of information about their clients’ ongoing health and wellbeing which they use to support primary acute healthcare teams and general practitioners (GPs), easing the pressures on health and social care.

Beyond that, we work diligently to pair the competency of Care Professional with the needs of our clients, carrying out detailed assessments to match their skills, personality and character. This way we can deliver the right care, in the right way for each individual and specific health condition, helping you to live well at home, your way.Our Care Professionals and Health Care Professionals are here to support you and your family with practical help and nursing care tailored to you so you can live your best life at home.
