At Home Instead Wimbledon & Kingston, we believe in giving back to our community and supporting important causes.
Recently, our leader and director at Wimbledon and Kingston, Clare Jefferies, and her team participated in the Marsden March to raise funds for the renowned Royal Marsden cancer hospital. It was an inspiring day filled with camaraderie, determination, and the shared goal of making a positive impact on cancer patients’ lives.
The Marsden March Experience:
On 14th May 2023, Clare and hte team challenged themselves to walk 15 miles alongside staff, patients, and supporters of The Royal Marsden. Starting from hospital in Chelsea, the intrepid troupe traversed through Fulham, Putney, Wimbledon, and Cheam, culminating at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton. The incredible atmosphere and local support along the route made every step of the journey meaningful.
A Yearly Affair:
Raising money for the Royal Marsden Cancer hospitals has become a yearly tradition for Home Instead Wimbledon & Kingston. As a team, we recognise the crucial role played by the Royal Marsden in providing exceptional care and advancing cancer research. We also know them well for the impact they have had on the lives of a number of our clients.
We commend Clare and the team for their participation in the Marsden March. Their dedication and commitment to making a difference in the lives of cancer patients exemplify the values we hold dear at Home Instead Wimbledon & Kingston. Their involvement in this event showcases our team’s willingness to go the extra mile! As well as their commitment to community engagement.
We hope to see such a fabulous turn out again next year.
