We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of people wanting to find out more about starting a career in care, but often people are just not sure if it’s for them. Generally, we find that once people learn what it means to be a Care Professional with Home Instead they see a very different picture to the one they imagined and they are keen to apply.
Working in Care requires certain qualities, such as compassion, kindness, and a wish to make a difference to the lives of others. However, everything else can be covered with training so you really shouldn’t worry if you’ve not worked in care before.
Oftentimes, we find that people do have some form of care experience, such as caring for a family member, but they hadn’t recognised it as such. We all have some capacity to care and we all certainly should feel rewarded by making a difference to someone else’s life.
To help people to gain a better understanding of being a what it’s like to be a Care Professional with Home Instead, we’re holding a recruitment open day at our West Kirby office on Wednesday 10th September.
Our recruitment team will be on hand to answer any questions and to provide an insight into the benefits of starting a career in care with Home Instead. The event runs from 10am to 3pm, so feel free to drop in any time for an informal chat.
Our office is at 32 Grange Road, opposite West Kirby railway station, at the corner of The Crescent. We look forward to meeting you!
If you can’t make it to the event then feel free to give Sue, our recruitment officer, a call on 0151 382 4000 or click below to visit our website for more details.
