Strengthening Wirral's Bonds: Our Dedication to Community Wellbeing

We advocate living well as we age, which is why we strive to promote independence and positive wellbeing.

As the leading domiciliary care provider in Wirral, we advocate living well as we age, which is why we strive to promote independence and positive wellbeing among our older generation. Additionally, it’s a key reason we proactively support so many local community initiatives and events, which help make a difference to the lives of local seniors.

Working closely with organisations such as Active Wirral, Home Instead supports regular activities including wellbeing walks at various locations across Wirral. These walks are lovely at this time of year – spring is the perfect time to get involved, so why not join us!

We also support various social events each month, such as the singing cafés at West Kirby Library, Birkenhead Library and at The Bridge Inn in Port Sunlight. Singing in itself is an uplifting experience and coupled with some engaging conversation in the company of others, it provides a positive and stimulating activity. More and more seniors enjoy these events on a regular basis.

Through our collaboration with local council services and community centres, we also support a number of regular companionship cafés, including the ‘Chat & Char’ at Neston Community Centre and ‘Not Just Coffee’ at Brio Leisure Neston. If you live in the Neston area then why not give one of these events a try.

All the events we support provide a dementia friendly environment where people feel safe to enjoy some companionship. For those living alone, having some regular companionship really helps combat social isolation, and promotes positive wellbeing.
