Head for a gentle walk down Worthing Pier and take in the views from the chalk cliffs beyond Brighton in the east to the beautiful beaches of the west. You can keep up to date looking at the new developments of apartments that pop up and see how much Worthing has changed over the years. Looking past Worthing itself you can see the rolling hills of the South Downs National Park.
There is amazing artwork that runs along the length of the pier, you can watch the fisherman trying to catch their tea, or simply sit and watch the world go by while enjoying a delicious ice cream.
There is a traditional amusement arcade on the pier so save up your pennies and play the assortment of games inside.
At the end of the pier you will find Perch on the Pier, a popular restaurant with great food and stunning panoramic views of the sea.
This stunning Edwardian cinema originally opened in 1911 and has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The Dome Cinema in Worthing is one of the oldest cinemas in the country, it has three screens, including the opulent main auditorium, a large selection of films for all tastes and a friendly team of staff.
You will find the cinema on Worthing seafront, next door to the bus station.
Why not take your senior family member or friend for a game of ten-pin bowling? Hollywood Bowl is located just off Marine Drive and is part of the Grafton Street carpark.
The centre has 26 bowling lanes, an American themed diner, a bar and an amusement arcade. The bowling can be made a little easier for seniors by activating the lane bumpers, preventing the ball from going in the gutter. Hollywood Bowl has disabled access and moveable ramps to access the lanes and aid bowling.
Buzz Bingo, previously named Gala Bingo, is a spacious bingo hall located on Rowlands Road in Worthing. You can play either touchpad or paper bingo and hot food and drinks are available while you play.
Buzz Bingo have regular live entertainment, welcoming staff, ramped access, onsite parking, and daily special offers.
Afternoon sessions are 1pm – 2.35pm on weekdays and 1.30pm – 3.05pm on weekends. Evening sessions are 7.30pm – 9.05pm.
