Home Instead hosted a very special anniversary tea party for the local community to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
Home Instead Wrexham & Flintshire held a special tea party recently to celebrate their 10th anniversary of providing home care services to older adults in North Wales.
The tea party was held at the Methodist Church in the village of Gresford, just along the road from Home Instead’s Wrexham base. The event brought around 40 members of the local community and included current clients along with some of their family members, care professionals – past and present – as well as representatives from local groups and voluntary organisations. The team also welcomed members of the public from the local area, who have supported Home Instead since their arrival in Wrexham back in 2015.
The guests enjoyed a delicious spread of sandwiches, scones and cake whilst the tea flowed. We also had some wonderful musical entertainment from female vocal duo The Song Byrds – one half of which is our very own Community Engagement Coordinator, Heather Collin.
Matthew and Samantha Murray-James opened the first North Wales branch of Home Instead back in 2015. Matthew himself had prior personal experience of Home Instead when they’d looked after his own grandmother. Impressed by the company ethos and the quality care provided, Matthew was keen to bring this model of home care to North Wales. From humble beginnings, the organisation started out with a small office based on Wrexham Industrial Estate but over the years has grown to include three branches based in Gresford, Buckley and Colwyn Bay, providing home care for adults across the four counties of North Wales.
During that last ten years, Matthew and Samantha’s dedicated team have cared for hundreds of clients across the area, as well as providing jobs for the local community. Home Instead provide a whole range of home care services from companionship and home help right through to dementia care, live-in support and complex care packages.
Matthew Murray-James, Director of Home Instead Wrexham and Flintshire, said:
“I am very proud of what Home Instead has achieved over the last ten years. BEing able to provide high quality care to the community is a real team effort and I am so pleased that we have been able to come together to celebrate our 10th anniversary and our achievements with all the people that have supported us over the years.
It’s been fantastic to see our clients enjoying themselves alongside our care professionals who do such an amazing job and make such a difference. And we are really pleased that members of the local community have been able to join us too as they have made us feel very welcome here over the years. It’s great that they support our continuing endeavour to provide high-quality care to the people of North Wales.”
