January brings hope and new possibilities as we start the year. In York and Scarborough, we host regular free community events, and we’re excited to share more about them.
Companionship Café – Stephen Joseph Theatre – 2nd Tuesday of the month – 10.30am – 12.30pm
The Stephen Joseph Theatre plays host to our Companionship Café in Scarborough. The beautifully restored 1930’s cinema is the heart of the community and the perfect partner for our coastal friends who fancy a chinwag and a warm cup of something all-year round.
Companionship Café – Deans Garden centre – 2nd Monday of the month – 10am – 12pm
The much-loved and frequented “Deans,” kindly co-host this meet with us and have done for some time. A popular event, which sees a range of people in attendance. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided, just bring yourselves (and a smile)!
Chatty Mondays – York Theatre Royal, YO1 7HD – 1st Monday of the month – 10am – 12pm
Co-hosted with the Theatre Royal, and housed in the Upper Foyer in the 18th century building, this city gathering offers an opportunity to venture into the heart of our atmospheric medieval city of York. Hosted by the lovely Kay, people come far and wide to this meet, just for a quick coffee, or for a while longer. Biscuits aplenty, be assured!
Wherever you’re based, and whatever you’re searching for – whether that’s to share or hear a story or two, fancy a change of scenery, or just want someone else to make you a cuppa, do pop down to see some friendly, faces.
Our events are for those looking for a little company or conversation – everybody is welcome.
We hope to see you at our next event,
Anna and the events team.
